It is lined for added comfort and protection, and the inherently flame-resistant (FR) fabric provides protection that will not wash or wear out, ensuring that it will not melt, drip, or ignite. The kit comes equipped with cord locks to keep the hood cinched and in place, along with two front patch pockets for convenience. The arc rating is 39 cal/cm² with a Cat level of Cat 3, and the material composition consists of 14 oz. FR fleece and a 6.5 oz. waffle liner. Compliance standards include CSA Z462 for arc flash (Canada), ASTM F1506 for arc flash, OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E for arc flash, and NFPA 2112. For product care, it is recommended to read the garment label and launder per instructions, avoiding chlorine bleach, detergents containing bleach, fabric softeners, ironing, or dry cleaning. The garment should be machine washed in warm water and tumble dried on low, and it is essential to wash according to these instructions to maintain fabric performance when soiled with contaminants.
