The kit includes a shirt featuring FR 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective comfort trim, a button-down collar, and an adjustable 2-button cuff closure. It has a left front chest pocket and is made from moisture-wicking and breathable fabric to enhance comfort. The non-restricting cut allows for an easy range of motion, while the shirt boasts an arc rating of 8.9 cal/cm² and is categorized as CAT 2. The material used is 6.5 oz. Westex® DH. In terms of compliance, the shirt meets ASTM F1506 for arc flash, complies with OSHA 1910.269, and adheres to NFPA 70E for arc flash, as well as CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada. It is UL certified to NFPA 2112 and meets ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 3 standards. Product care instructions include laundering per the garment label, avoiding bleach or chlorine, fabric softeners, or starch. The shirt is dry cleanable and machine washable in warm water (maximum 150°F). Proper washing is crucial to remove contaminants and maintain fabric performance; if contaminants persist after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the garment.
