The kit includes a soft FR/AR heavyweight fleece designed for warmth and protection, featuring a large drawstring hood that fits comfortably over a hard hat, allowing for unrestricted movement due to its generous cut. The rib knit cuffs and waistband prevent riding up, while a covered FR zipper front closure enhances durability. Lined for added comfort and protection, the fleece is inherently flame resistant, ensuring that its FR protection will not wash or wear out. The FR fabric will not melt, drip, or ignite, and cord locks keep the hood cinched and in place. Additionally, the kit offers two front patch pockets. The arc rating is 39 cal/cm², with a category level of Cat 3, and it is made from 14 oz. FR fleece and a 6.5 oz. waffle liner. Compliance standards include CSA Z462 for arc flash (Canada), ASTM F1506 for arc flash, OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E for arc flash, and NFPA 2112. Proper product care involves reading and following the garment label for laundering instructions, avoiding chlorine bleach or detergents that contain bleach, fabric softeners, ironing, and dry cleaning. For cleaning, machine wash warm and tumble dry low, ensuring contaminants are removed to maintain fabric performance; if contaminants cannot be removed, it is advised to discontinue use of the garment.
