The pants have an arc rating of 9.2 cal/cm² and are categorized as Cat 2, made from a 7 oz. cotton/nylon blend. Compliance standards include NFPA 70E for arc flash, UL certification to NFPA 2112, ASTM F1506 for arc flash, CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, and OSHA 1910.269. For product care, it is essential to read the garment label and launder according to the instructions, avoiding the use of hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, or detergents containing either, as well as fabric softeners or starch. Machine wash warm (max. 165°F/74°C) with detergent only and wash separately from other garments to maintain fabric performance, especially when soiled with dirt, greases, or oils. If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of the garment.
