The pants have an arc rating of 9.2 cal/cm² and fall under cat level CAT 2, made from a 7 oz. cotton/nylon blend. Compliance features ensure that these pants meet several safety standards: they are compliant with NFPA 70E for arc flash, UL certified to NFPA 2112, compliant with ASTM F1506 for arc flash, compliant with CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, and adhere to OSHA 1910.269. For product care, it is important to read the garment label and launder according to the instructions provided, avoiding hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, or detergents containing these substances, as well as fabric softeners or starch. The recommended laundering process includes washing separately from other garments, machine washing warm (maximum 165°F/74°C) with detergent only, and the pants are also dry cleanable. Proper care is crucial to maintaining fabric performance, particularly if the garment becomes soiled with dirt, greases, oils, etc., and if contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the garment.
