The DRIFIRE® flame-resistant essentials work pant is designed for all-day comfort and durability, featuring lightweight, durable flame-resistant fabric that provides superior comfort and long-lasting protection in hazardous work environments. The pants include two front slant pockets for easy access and convenient storage, as well as two back welt pockets for a professional appearance while offering secure storage. With an arc rating of 9.2 cal/cm², these pants are classified as Category 2. The material consists of a 7 oz. cotton/nylon blend, ensuring both comfort and safety. They comply with various safety standards, including NFPA 70E for arc flash, UL certification to NFPA 2112, ASTM F1506 for arc flash, CSA Z462 for arc flash (Canada), and OSHA 1910.269. For proper garment care, it is recommended to launder according to the instructions on the garment label, avoiding hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, detergents containing either, fabric softeners, or starch. The pants should be washed separately from other garments in warm water (maximum 165°F/74°C) with detergent only and are also dry cleanable. Following these washing instructions is crucial to remove contaminants and maintain fabric performance when soiled. If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the garment.
