It is made from a moisture-wicking and breathable 6.5 oz. Westex® DH fabric, designed to provide improved comfort and a non-restricting cut that allows for an easy range of motion. The shirt has an arc rating of 8.9 cal/cm² and is categorized as Cat 2. In terms of compliance, it meets ASTM F1506 for arc flash, OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E for arc flash, CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, is UL certified to NFPA 2112, and meets ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 3 standards. Care instructions indicate that the garment should be laundered according to the garment label, avoiding bleach, chlorine, fabric softeners, or starch, with machine wash recommended at warm temperatures (max. 150°F).
