The kit includes a shirt featuring FR 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective comfort trim, a button down collar, and an adjustable 2-button cuff closure, along with a left front chest pocket. Constructed from 6.5 oz. Westex® DH material, the shirt is designed with moisture-wicking and breathable fabric for improved comfort, and a non-restricting cut for easy range of motion. It has an arc rating of 8.9 cal/cm² and is classified as Cat 2. The shirt complies with various industry standards, including ASTM F1506 and NFPA 70E for arc flash, OSHA 1910.269, CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, and is UL certified to NFPA 2112, while meeting ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 3 requirements. For product care, it is essential to read the garment label and follow the laundering instructions, which recommend not using bleach, chlorine, fabric softeners, or starch. The garment is dry cleanable and can be machine washed warm at a maximum temperature of 150°F. Proper care must be taken to remove contaminants such as dirt, greases, or oils to maintain fabric performance, and if contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the garment.
