The kit includes a soft FR/AR heavyweight fleece designed for warmth and protection, featuring a large drawstring hood that fits over hard hats and a generous cut for unrestricted movement. It has rib knit cuffs and a waistband to prevent riding up, along with a covered FR zipper front closure and lining for added comfort and protection. The inherently flame-resistant fabric will not wash or wear out, and it is made from FR material that will not melt, drip, or ignite. Additional features include cord locks to keep the hood cinched and in place, and two front patch pockets. The kit boasts an arc rating of 39 cal/cm² and is classified as Cat 3. It comprises 14 oz. FR fleece and a 6.5 oz. waffle liner. In terms of compliance, it adheres to CSA Z462 for arc flash (Canada), ASTM F1506 for arc flash, OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E for arc flash, and NFPA 2112. Product care instructions emphasize reading the garment label and laundering per those instructions, avoiding chlorine bleach and detergents containing bleach, fabric softeners, ironing, and dry cleaning. It is recommended to machine wash in warm water and tumble dry on low to maintain fabric performance and remove contaminants such as dirt, grease, and oils.
