The kit includes a soft FR/AR heavyweight fleece jacket designed for warmth and protection, featuring a large drawstring hood that fits over a hard hat, a generous cut for unrestricted movement, and rib knit cuffs and waistband to prevent riding up. The jacket is lined for added comfort and protection, inherently flame resistant (FR), and maintains its protective qualities as the FR protection will not wash or wear out. The FR fabric is designed to resist melting, dripping, or igniting. Additional features include cord locks to keep the hood cinched in place, a front pocket, and an arc rating of 39 cal/cm² at Cat level 3. The materials used are 14 oz. FR fleece and a 6.5 oz. waffle liner. Compliance standards include CSA Z462, ASTM F1506, OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 2112 for arc flash protection. For product care, it is essential to read the garment label and launder per the instructions, avoiding chlorine bleach, detergents containing bleach, fabric softeners, ironing, and dry cleaning. The recommended washing method is to machine wash warm and tumble dry low while following the provided instructions to maintain fabric performance, especially when soiled with contaminants like dirt, grease, or oils. If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue the use of the garment.
