This hoodie features durable flame-resistant fabric that ensures superior comfort and long-lasting protection. It includes a large drawstring hood that accommodates hard hats, rib knit cuffs and a waistband to prevent riding up, and a generous cut for unrestricted movement. The soft FR/AR midweight fleece provides warmth and protection, with an arc rating of 19 cal/cm² and classified as Category 2. The material consists of 10 oz. FR fleece. This product complies with NFPA 70E for arc flash, is UL certified to NFPA 2112, and meets ASTM F1506 for arc flash requirements. It is also compliant with CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada and conforms to OSHA 1910.269 regulations. For proper care, users should read the garment label and launder it according to the provided instructions, avoiding the use of hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, detergents containing those chemicals, fabric softeners, or starch. The hoodie should be washed separately in warm water (maximum 165°F/74°C) using detergent only and is dry cleanable. Following these laundering instructions is essential to maintain fabric performance, especially when the garment becomes soiled with dirt, greases, or oils; if contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the garment.
