The kit includes a soft FR/AR heavyweight fleece hoodie designed for warmth and protection, featuring a large drawstring hood that accommodates a hard hat. It has a generous cut for unrestricted movement and rib knit cuffs and waistband to prevent riding up. The front closure is secured with a covered FR zipper, and the interior is lined for added comfort and protection. This inherently flame-resistant fabric will not wash or wear out and will not melt, drip, or ignite. The hoodie features cord locks to keep the hood cinched and in place, along with two front patch pockets. It has an arc rating of 39 cal/cm² and is classified as Cat 3. The materials include 14 oz. FR fleece and a 6.5 oz. waffle liner. Compliance includes meeting CSA Z462 for arc flash (Canada), ASTM F1506 for arc flash, OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E for arc flash, and NFPA 2112. Product care includes laundering per garment label instructions, avoiding chlorine bleach, detergents containing bleach, fabric softeners, ironing, and dry cleaning. The recommended wash method is machine wash warm and tumble dry low; maintaining fabric performance requires washing to remove contaminants such as dirt, grease, and oils, and it is advised to discontinue use if contaminants cannot be removed after laundering.
