The kit includes a soft FR/AR heavyweight fleece hoodie designed for warmth and protection, featuring a large drawstring hood that fits over a hard hat and a generous cut allowing for unrestricted movement. Rib knit cuffs and waistband prevent riding up, while the garment is lined for added comfort. The inherently flame-resistant (FR) fabric will not melt, drip, or ignite, and the FR protection will not wash or wear out. Additional features include cord locks to keep the hood cinched in place and a front pocket. The hoodie has an arc rating of 39 cal/cm² and is classified as Cat level 3, constructed from 14 oz. FR fleece with a 6.5 oz. waffle liner. Compliance is ensured with CSA Z462 for arc flash (Canada), ASTM F1506 for arc flash, OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E for arc flash, and NFPA 2112. For product care, it is advised to read the garment label and launder according to the label instructions, avoiding the use of chlorine bleach, detergents containing bleach, fabric softeners, ironing, or dry cleaning; instead, machine wash warm and tumble dry low to maintain fabric performance. If contaminants cannot be removed, it is recommended to discontinue use.
