The kit includes a dual hazard protective garment designed for safety in hazardous environments, featuring dual hazard protection against arc flash and flash fire. It is constructed from moisture-wicking and breathable fabric to enhance comfort and is inherently flame resistant, ensuring that the FR protection will not wash or wear out. The garment has an FR hook and loop front closure and is detailed with FR silver reflective trim. It has an arc rating of 8.9 cal/cm² and is classified as Category 2. The material used is 6.5 oz. Westex® DH. It complies with various safety standards, including NFPA 70E for arc flash, is UL certified to NFPA 2112, meets ANSI/ISEA 107 type R class 2, and complies with ASTM F1506 and CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, along with OSHA 1910.269 regulations. For product care, it is advised to read the garment label and launder it per the provided instructions, avoiding bleach, chlorine, and fabric softeners. It is recommended to turn the garment inside out before machine washing in cold water (maximum 80°F / 27°C) and tumble drying on low (maximum 140°F / 60°C) to maintain fabric performance and remove contaminants. If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the garment.
