The all-new X|Flux 5 features a powerful 5HP motor and an impressive maximum airflow of 3093 CFM. The unit utilizes an auto-cleaning HEPA filter system, which employs double-paddles that sweep the filter every 3 minutes of system use in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. Standard features include a remote control and an LED drum light. As a full-size stationary, single-stage dust collection unit, it has a convenient 39-gallon octagon drum mounted on locking casters. The motor operates at 220V / 60Hz / 1Ph with a speed of 3450 RPM and consumes 18.5A at 220V for an 8" inlet, achieving a maximum static pressure of 12" and a decibel reading of 69 DBA at a distance of 9.8 ft. The fan size is 14-1/2" and the assembled dimensions are 36" x 38" x 91", with a machine weight of 456 lbs (207 kg). The HEPA filter specification includes a filtering area of 32.3 sq/ft (3 sq/m) and a cartridge filter size of 19-11/16" x 19-11/16" (50 x 50 cm), achieving 99.7% efficiency for particles measuring 0.3 to 0.4 microns. The non-stick PTFE membrane may experience some disintegration after 200,000 cycles at the contact points of the cleaning paddles and the filter media, although this does not significantly diminish filtration efficiency. The HEPA filter media is independently tested by an accredited third party (TTRI) and is designed with wide-spaced pleating to ensure optimum performance throughout its lifespan.
