The Revo 24|36 lathe features significantly enhanced durability with legs that are 80% heavier than those of the Revo 18|36, contributing to its stable operation. Its redesigned Banjo incorporates a compact design with a 45° cutout and a wider base, and it is equipped with a second control panel that can be mounted in two positions (high or low), allowing operators to turn off the machine and adjust the speed easily. A switch at the back of the headstock allows the operator to choose between the headstock control panel and the secondary control panel, with an E-stop that functions on both. The ergonomic angled control panel, made of anodized aluminum, features a stylish blue DRO and a knurled control knob with a rubber grip, setting it apart from typical lathes. The bed is constructed of steel for smooth operation, while the cast iron headstock ensures longevity and strength. It utilizes an electronic variable speed system via a Delta S1 variable frequency drive, converting 1-phase input to 3-phase output, delivering substantial torque even at low settings. The DRO provides accurate RPM readings during adjustments. Transitioning between speed settings is facilitated by a quick release handle, and the headstock and tailstock lock handles are positioned on the back to enhance workflow.
