The SuperMax® 25-50 drum sander is the largest open-ended drum sander on the market, capable of sanding 25" in a single pass and up to 50" in a double pass. This kit includes a pre-wrapped drum with 80 grit sandpaper, an aluminum drum for efficient sanding, an open stand, and a simple alignment feature that allows quick adjustments for parallel alignment of the conveyor and sanding head using just one nut. The sander is designed with a flatter head for sanding uneven surfaces and features variable feed speed with IntelliSand® technology, which automatically adjusts conveyor speed based on load to prevent gouging or burning of stock. Additional options include wire and nylon brush heads available for separate purchase. The indexed alignment setting allows for adjustments for both narrow and wide stock, ensuring flawless wide sanding. The drum is securely bolted to the base to eliminate movement or alignment issues, and the precision-flattened steel conveyor bed is reinforced with four steel cross sections, ensuring flatness to less than .010" across the width of the sander, along with an abrasive conveyor belt that provides optimal grip for raw wood, accommodating much shorter stock.
