The sander features a 50" wide sanding capability in two passes, or up to 25" wide in a single pass, making it one of the most affordable options for large capacity sanding. It can accommodate stock as short as 2-1/4" or as thin as 1/32" and as wide as 50". This model includes a closed stand with an incorporated mobile base for convenient storage and portability, and the sanding drum is wrapped with 80 grit abrasive. The conveyor speed is infinitely adjustable from 0 to 10 feet per minute, and a full range of abrasives is available for tasks ranging from abrasive planing to finish sanding. The easy access abrasive attachment system allows for tool-free abrasive changes while maintaining tension on the abrasive to prevent overlap. Key features include a simple alignment mechanism for the sanding drum, a cast iron head assembly securely bolted to the cast iron frame and base to prevent misalignment, and IntelliSand® technology that automatically adjusts the conveyor speed to prevent gouging or damaging the stock and improve processing speed. The patented fast adjust lever enables quick and accurate adjustments for sanding material wider than the drum without the need for time-consuming fine-tuning. The abrasive conveyor belt provides excellent grip on wood and similar materials while accommodating short and thin stock.
