It features a 6oz. modacrylic/cotton/aramid blend, where the cotton provides comfort, and the durable modacrylic fabric ensures long-lasting performance and inherent flame resistance that persists through wear and laundering. The ripstop material enhances durability and tear resistance. Additional attributes include two chest pockets with buttoned flap closures and pencil slots, radial loops on both shoulders, and bar-tacked construction at all stress points. High-tenacity FR thread made from aramid is used, along with melamine FR buttons for the front closure, collar, cuffs, and pockets. The garment is dual-certified to NFPA 70E (ASTM F1506) and NFPA 2112-2023 standards, contributing to an extended life as it is reusable and launderable, which not only helps reduce costs but also minimizes waste. It falls under PPE category 2 with an ATPV rating of 9 cal/cm2, indicating its level of flame resistance as classified by the NFPA standards for various FR hazardous risk category levels.
