The kit is ideal for daily wear use and under arc flash suits and coveralls, providing next-to-skin comfort and breathability. It includes features that adhere to PPE category 2 standards, along with ASTM F1506 and NFPA 70E, and NFPA 2112-2023 certifications. The garment has an arc rating of ATPV=23.3 cal/cm², made of 12 oz FR fleece knit using aramid high tenacity FR thread. It is designed with an adjustable FR drawstring around the hood, FR rib knit cuffs and waistband, a hood with interlock lining, and a patch pocket at the front bottom. The closure is a pullover style. The fabric composition consists of cotton for comfort and fleece for warmth and quick-drying properties. The NFPA has established various FR hazardous risk category levels, ranging from PPE 1 (low risk, minimum arc rating of 4) to PPE 4 (high risk, minimum arc rating of 40), with each level rated for a specific amount of flame resistance measured in cal/cm².
