The wood seats are 1-1/4 inch solid hardwood (oak or maple) and are dished for amazing posterior comfort. The cushion seats utilize a breathable, commercial grade vinyl or fabric, and at the heart of the cushion is 2-1/2 inches of highly-dense, US made foam that provides maximum support. The stool has been independently load tested to 750 lbs. without failure, meeting BIFMA/ANSI standards. Finishes resist rust and abrasions, with a frame finish of powder coat in black wrinkle.
