The Ultra-Drain Guard® Archaea Boom model is a dual-component stormwater management product designed to capture pollutants above the drain and bioremediate contaminants below the drain. The kit includes an Ultra-Drain Guard® catch basin insert that captures dirt, sediment, oil, grease, and other pollutants, preventing them from entering the water system. Additionally, it features an Ultra-Archaea Boom tied to a grommet in the bottom of the Ultra-Drain Guard®; this 4-foot tethered boom floats on the water inside the catch basin and releases oil-eating microbes that activate upon exposure to water, consuming hydrocarbons and leaving behind harmless, natural byproducts. This system offers protection both above and below the storm drain, contributing to effective pollution control in compliance with stormwater management practices.
