The Heavy-duty Ultra-Storm Guard® adjustable catch basin filter is designed to capture microplastics, including plastic pellets ("nurdles"), and other contaminants before they enter waterways where they can harm marine and wildlife. It also effectively captures larger debris such as leaves, cigarette butts, paper goods, and other floatables. The filter frame adjusts up to 2 inches in each direction to ensure a proper fit over the catch basin opening. Installation is straightforward: raise the grate, place the Storm Guard over the opening, adjust as needed, and carefully lower the grate back into place. This product helps facilities comply with Operation Clean Sweep and other "Zero Plastic Resin Loss" programs. Warranty information is included with the kit, ensuring reliable use over time.
