The Ultra-Self Bailer® is designed for outdoor spill containment units to passively filter hydrocarbons from stormwater, addressing the challenge of rainwater filling containment sumps and reducing spill capacity. It attaches typically via a bulkhead fitting to any spill containment unit, allowing rainwater to drain through while filter media inside removes residual oil, gas, or hydrocarbons, letting only clean water exit. In case of a spill, the media swells to seal off the self bailer completely, preventing liquid escape. This product offers protection for non-monitored containment sites and helps eliminate issues caused by rainwater accumulation in outdoor containment products. Installation is simple and compatible with almost any UltraTech containment product. It captures hydrocarbon sheens and modest spills, allowing clean stormwater to drain through the outflow port, while larger or concentrated spills trigger an auto shut-off mechanism. A manual shut-off valve is available to secure draining operations or facilitate filter cartridge replacement. Filters are designed for quick and easy replacement. The unit is constructed from PVC, ensuring it will not rust or corrode.
