MTC™ Bio's Erlenmeyer shaker flasks are constructed from polycarbonate, PETG, or styrene/butadiene for jumbo flasks. They feature polypropylene screw caps vented with 0.2 µm membranes to enhance air transmission and support cell growth. The flasks have a mouth size that complies with the international SBS standard, ensuring quick and secure connection to bioreactor equipment. Polycarbonate flasks and jumbo Fernbach flasks include baffled (ribbed) bottoms to improve oxygenation and mixing efficiency at lower shaking speeds. Each flask is individually wrapped and gamma sterilized to a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10^-6, and they are free from RNase, DNase, pyrogens, endotoxins, and human DNA. Polycarbonate flasks are autoclavable at 121°C and 15 psi for 30 minutes.
