The kit includes boxes correctly matched to common western blot sizes, allowing for fitting more blots on shakers or rockers while minimizing reagent and antibody usage, with popular mini-gels requiring only about 4 ml. All corners are formed at 90° angles and the bottom surface is uniformly flat, which further reduces consumption of costly reagents and antibodies. Many boxes are available in light-blocking opaque black for light-sensitive samples. The boxes feature a hinged lid that minimizes evaporation and are suitable for halves, wholes, strips, or mini gels.
