SureFrame™ plates are made with a special two-material process that creates an ultra-rigid polycarbonate frame while maintaining the favorable thermal transfer characteristics of polypropylene tube wells. This ultra-rigid frame is ideal for all automated platforms and plate grippers and increases the uniformity of experiments by eliminating the warping that occurs with traditional one-material plates inside thermal cyclers. Warping typically causes increased evaporation in the outer wells, leading to inconsistent amplification across wells, but the polycarbonate frame of SureFrame™ plates prevents this, ensuring completely uniform results. The plates are semi-skirted with a polycarbonate frame and are certified for PCR use.
