These sterile disposable plastic loops and needles are designed for use in quantitative procedures such as sampling, urine counts, and serial dilutions, as well as for bacterial inoculation. They are pre-sterilized and single-use, eliminating the risk of cross-contamination and the need for flaming. The shaft has a unique hexagonal shape to enhance grip, orientation, and guidance during streaking. The loop surfaces are extremely smooth, free of rough edges, flashing, or burrs on the loop head, preventing cutting or gouging of agar surfaces. Made from flexible polypropylene, the loops are easier to maneuver within petri dishes, test tubes, or other confined spaces, facilitating efficient sample collection and transfer. This flexibility also allows for more precise sampling from cultures, especially when handling small or delicate colonies that could be damaged by more rigid instruments.
