SureFrame™ plates are made with a special two-material process that creates an ultra-rigid polycarbonate frame while maintaining the favorable thermal transfer characteristics of polypropylene tube wells. This ultra-rigid frame is ideal for all automated platforms and plate grippers and increases the uniformity of experiments by eliminating warping inside thermal cyclers, which can cause increased evaporation in outer wells and inconsistent amplification. The plates are certified for PCR, feature a fully skirted polycarbonate frame, and have a low profile.
