The sump alarm counterweight is designed to tie to the float switch cable using the included button head cable tie. This cable weight is intended to orient the float switch as the water level rises or falls and is not designed to submerge the float switch. It requires only 3 to 5 inches of space between the float switch and the pump. Each weight measures 6 ounces, and the package includes a 50 pack of these counterweights.
