Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. To prevent warpage and splitting, the wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width so that some strips are single and some strips are double wide, giving the tops added strength while reducing the possibility of splitting along its seams. The kit includes a 1,200 lb. capacity frame constructed of strong cold rolled steel equipped with 5 inch polyurethane casters, suitable for industrial assembly applications. The maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil, the assembly is quick, and the product comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
