Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. To prevent warpage and splitting, the wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips being single and others double wide, giving the tops added strength while reducing the possibility of splitting along the seams. The kit includes a butcher block top supported by a strong cold rolled steel frame with a 1,200 lb. capacity and equipped with 5 inch polyurethane casters for mobility. The unit features quick assembly and the maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The product is backed by a 25-year unconditional warranty.
