Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. The wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge to prevent warpage and splitting. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips being single and others double wide, providing added strength while reducing the possibility of the top splitting along its seams. The kit includes a robust frame constructed of strong cold rolled steel, rated to support up to 1,200 lb., and equipped with 5 inch polyurethane casters for mobility. The maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The package offers quick assembly and is backed by a 25-year unconditional warranty.
