Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4" thick strips of genuine maple hardwood that are dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year to prevent warpage and splitting before being cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some being single and others double wide, providing added strength while reducing the possibility of splitting along the seams. The kit includes a 1,200 lb. capacity frame constructed from strong cold rolled steel, equipped with 5" polyurethane casters for mobility, and is designed for quick assembly. The maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil, making them suitable for industrial assembly applications. This product comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
