Preferred for its hard surface, beauty and durability, the solid maple butcherblock used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. To prevent warpage and splitting, the wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width so that some strips are single and some strips are double wide, giving the tops added strength while reducing the possibility of splitting along seams. The kit includes a butcherblock top supported by a strong cold rolled steel frame with a capacity of 1,200 lb. and equipped with 5 inch polyurethane casters for mobility. The assembly is quick, and the maple butcherblock tops are generally treated with oil suitable for industrial assembly applications. The product comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
