Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcherblock used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. The wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge to prevent warpage and splitting. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips being single and others double wide, which adds strength and reduces the possibility of splitting along seams. The kit includes maple butcher block tops generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications, supported by a frame with a 1,200 lb. capacity made from strong cold rolled steel and equipped with 5-inch polyurethane casters. The package features quick assembly and comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
