Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4" thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. The wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before being cut into strips and glued edge to edge to prevent warpage and splitting. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips single and some double wide, providing added strength and reducing the possibility of splitting along seams. The kit includes a butcher block top with a 1,200 lb. capacity steel base constructed from strong cold rolled steel and equipped with 5" polyurethane casters for mobility. Assembly is quick, and the maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The unit comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
