Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. To prevent warpage and splitting, the wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips being single and others double wide, providing added strength while reducing the possibility of splitting along seams. The maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The kit includes the butcher block top and necessary assembly hardware, with an easy assembly process that takes less than one minute. The product carries a 25-year unconditional warranty.
