Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcherblock used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. The wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before being cut into strips and glued edge to edge to prevent warpage and splitting. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips single and others double wide, providing added strength while reducing the possibility of splitting along the seams. The kit includes a butcherblock top with a 1,200 lb. capacity supported by strong cold rolled steel and equipped with 5-inch polyurethane casters for mobility. It is designed for quick assembly and the maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The product comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
