Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. To prevent warpage and splitting, the wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before being cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips single and some double wide, providing added strength while reducing the possibility of splitting along the seams. The kit includes a 1,200 lb. capacity frame made of strong cold rolled steel equipped with 5-inch polyurethane casters for mobility. The maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil suitable for industrial assembly applications. The product offers quick assembly and comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
