Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcherblock used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. To prevent warpage and splitting, the wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips being single and some double wide, providing the tops with added strength while reducing the possibility of splitting along seams. The maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The package includes the butcher block top and all necessary assembly hardware, allowing assembly in less than one minute. The product comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
