Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. The wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before being cut into strips and glued edge to edge to prevent warpage and splitting. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips being single and others double wide, adding strength and reducing the possibility of splitting along seams. The kit includes a butcher block top made of this solid maple, supported by a strong cold rolled steel frame with a 1,200 lb. capacity, equipped with 5-inch polyurethane casters for mobility. The assembly process is quick, and the maple butcher block tops are typically treated with oil suitable for industrial assembly applications. The product comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
