Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. The wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before being cut into strips and glued edge to edge to prevent warpage and splitting. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips being single and others double wide, providing added strength and reducing the possibility of the top splitting along its seams. The kit includes a butcher block top with a 1,200 lb. capacity supported by a strong cold rolled steel frame equipped with 5-inch polyurethane casters for mobility. The unit offers quick assembly and the maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The product is covered by a 25-year unconditional warranty.
