Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcherblock used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. The wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge to prevent warpage and splitting. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips being single and others double wide, providing added strength and reducing the possibility of the top splitting along its seams. The maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The package includes the solid maple butcherblock ready for assembly, which can be completed in less than one minute. The product comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
