Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. The wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before being cut into strips and glued edge to edge to prevent warpage and splitting. The hardwood strips vary in width so that some strips are single and some are double wide, providing added strength and reducing the possibility of the top splitting along its seams. The kit includes a butcher block top with a 1,200 lb. capacity supported by strong cold-rolled steel and equipped with 5-inch polyurethane casters for mobility. The unit features quick assembly and is generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. This product comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
