Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro® is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. To prevent warpage and splitting, the wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips being single and others double wide, providing added strength while reducing the possibility of the top splitting along its seams. The maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The kit includes the solid maple butcher block top, and it is designed for easy assembly in less than one minute. The product comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
