Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcherblock used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. To prevent warpage and splitting, the wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width so that some strips are single and some strips are double wide, providing added strength while reducing the possibility of the top splitting along its seams. The kit includes a 1,200 lb. capacity frame made of strong cold rolled steel with 5-inch polyurethane casters for easy mobility. The butcher block tops are generally treated with oil suitable for industrial assembly applications. Assembly is quick and straightforward. The product is backed by a 25-year unconditional warranty.
