Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. To prevent warpage and splitting, the wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips being single and others double wide, providing added strength while reducing the possibility of splitting along seams. The kit includes a butcher block top and a frame with a 1,200 lb. capacity constructed from strong cold rolled steel, mounted on 5-inch polyurethane casters for mobility. The maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The product features quick assembly and comes with a 25-year unconditional warranty.
