Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcherblock used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. To prevent warpage and splitting, the wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width so that some strips are single and some strips are double wide, providing added strength while reducing the possibility of splitting along the seams. The kit and package include a butcher block top mounted on a strong cold rolled steel frame with a 1,200 lb. capacity and 5-inch polyurethane casters for mobility. The product features quick assembly and the maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The entire product is backed by a 25-year unconditional warranty.
