Preferred for its hard surface, beauty, and durability, the solid maple butcher block used by BenchPro™ is made from 1-3/4 inch thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. The wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year to prevent warpage and splitting before being cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width, with some strips being single and others double wide, providing added strength and reducing the possibility of the top splitting along its seams. The maple butcher block tops are generally treated with oil for industrial assembly applications. The product includes a 25-year unconditional warranty and can be assembled in less than one minute.
